John Flowers Is Selected to Play in the Capital Classic
John Flowers was selected to play in the 34th Annual Capital Classic, which will take place April 5th as a member of the Capital All-Stars. The Capital Classic pits the Capital All-Stars vs. the U.S. All-Stars in not only a game, but also in a three-point and slam dunk contest. This year’s game will be played at the Comcast Center on the campus of the University of Maryland. The three-point and dunk contest are scheduled to take place at DeMatha Catholic High School on the 4th at 3:30 p.m.
The event is filled with tradition and prestige as current NBA stars LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire,
Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Jason Kidd and Elton Brand as well as Michael Jordan,
Moses Malone and Patrick Ewing have all played in the game.
Drew Willis Is National Prep All-American
Drew Willis earned National Prep All-American status Feb. 23 & 24 at Lehigh University (124 schools were represented). The top eight place finishers received this honor. Drew finished in sixth place and defeated many prominent wrestlers along the way. Drew
will now represent the private schools in the Senior All Star meet (March 08,
2007) against the public school all stars (1A-2A & 3A-4A).
